KizSafe - Protecting Children Online:

As parents, we worry about our children’s safety every second of the day. Kids are dealing with mature situations at a younger age while parents do whatever they can to protect their kids from danger. As a result, parents over-schedule and keep their kids occupied 24/7. We organize soccer games, chaperone sleepovers and chauffeur them to and from school everyday. We’ve become experts when it comes to managing our children’s safety in the real world. However, the digital world is another story. The Internet is changing so rapidly it’s difficult for parents to keep up. Kids have a false sense of security because they believe no harm can come to them since their computers are in the safety of their own homes. Of course, we all know this isn’t the case. We want to give our kids room to grow and experience everything good the digital world has to offer, but we also have to be vigilant with their protection. That’s where Kiz comes in.

With their respective experiences as fathers, Kiz co-founders Ashley Johnson and Chris Moreau teamed up to develop KizSafe; a patent-pending technology that allows kids to anonymously interact in a safe and secure online community called KizPlanet. Providing a self-contained virtual platform, KizPlanet can only be accessed by plugging in the USB key that comes packaged with each KizPal toy.

The Kiz Anonymous Security Key (USB key packaged with each KizPal), is part of a quadruple redundant secure server access and validation. In other words, by using the key to launch directly to KizPlanet there is never any personal information transferred over the Internet at any time, thereby allowing for complete anonymity and protection from potential online predators.

Here’s how it works; when kids plug in their key, they are taken directly to the KizPlanet Interface. Meaning they don’t have to search for the site in a browser or enter a URL, thereby eliminating the possibility of accidentally stumbling on questionable websites and material. This provides kids with everything good the Internet has to offer in a fun, educational and realistically protected environment.

But KizSafe is more than just safety on the Internet. We address safety through manufacturing, testing, and parental monitoring/education.
